Issue, resend, and reprint receipts
Give every customer proof of purchase — printed, sent, or looked up later.
Updated 21 August 2026
A receipt is your customer's proof and your own record. Swipee creates one for every completed sale, whether or not you hand it over.
At the end of a sale
After the payment completes, the receipt screen offers:
- Print — to a paired receipt printer
- Send — to the customer's phone number or email
- No receipt — finish without issuing one
The sale is recorded either way.
What a receipt shows
- Your business name and store
- The date and time
- Each item, quantity, and price
- Discounts and tax
- The total and the payment method
- The transaction reference
- The last four digits of the card, for card sales
Reprint or resend later
- 1Open Transactions.
- 2Find the sale — search by amount, date, or reference.
- 3Open it and choose Receipt.
- 4Print or send it again.
This works for any completed sale in your history, not just today's.
Receipt status
Each receipt carries a status so you know what happened to it:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Issued | Created and ready |
| Sent | Delivered to the customer's phone or email |
| Printed | Sent to a paired printer |
| Failed | Delivery did not succeed — try again or use another method |
No printer?
Sending the receipt digitally costs nothing, needs no paper, and is easier for the customer to find again. Many pilot merchants run without a printer entirely.
