Ring up a sale from your item library
Build a basket from your catalogue so stock, best sellers, and receipts all take care of themselves.
Updated 21 August 2026
Selling from your item library is what turns Swipee from a calculator into a business system. Every line you add updates stock and reporting on its own.
Build the basket
- 1On Checkout, switch to the Library tab.
- 2Tap an item to add it. Tap it again to add another.
- 3Or tap the scan icon and point the camera at the barcode.
- 4Or search by name or SKU if the list is long.
Items with variations — sizes, flavours, pack sizes — ask you which one before they join the basket.
Change a quantity
Tap the line in the cart and set the quantity directly. This is faster than tapping an item twelve times when someone buys a case.
Favourites
The Favourites tab holds the handful of things you sell all day. Put your top sellers there and most sales become two taps.
Review and charge
Open the cart to check the basket. The summary shows:
- Subtotal — the items before anything is applied
- Discount — if you applied one
- Tax — if you have tax configured
- Total — what the customer pays
Tap Charge and choose the payment method.
What updates automatically
- Stock falls by the quantity sold, for each item and variation.
- The sale joins your transaction history with its item lines.
- Best sellers and category performance update in the dashboard.
- Low-stock warnings appear once an item drops below its threshold.
