You cannot sign in
Wrong password, an expired device code, a rejected two-step code, or a locked-out staff phone.
Updated 21 August 2026
Your password is not accepted
- Check the email address. Most failures are a typo in the address, not the password.
- Check caps lock and any leading or trailing space.
- Use Forgot password to reset it through your registered email.
If your email was never confirmed, recovery has to go through support — contact support with your merchant details.
Your two-step code is rejected
- Codes expire in seconds. Wait for the next one and enter it promptly.
- For an authenticator app, check the phone's clock is set to update automatically — a clock that drifts produces codes the server rejects.
- For SMS, confirm the number on your account is the one holding the SIM.
Lost the phone with your codes? Contact support with your merchant details.
A device code will not work
- Codes are six digits, valid for 10 minutes, and can be used once.
- If it has expired or already been used, generate a new one from Stores or Devices.
- Enter the digits with no spaces or dashes.
See Sign in on the till with a device code.
A staff phone was signed out
Someone removed the device, or the code was reused elsewhere. Generate a fresh login code and set the phone up again. If you did not remove it, check security activity straight away.
Too many attempts
Swipee limits repeated sign-in attempts to protect your account. Wait a minute and try again rather than retrying immediately.
Nothing loads at all
Check your connection, then close and reopen the app. If the sign-in screen itself will not load, the problem is network rather than credentials.
