What is Swipee?

Swipee turns an ordinary Android phone into a full till, stockroom, and back office for your business.

Updated 21 August 2026

Swipee is a business operating system for merchants who trade in cash, mobile money, and cards — often all in the same hour. It gives you three things that normally cost three different systems:

  • A till. Ring up a sale by amount or from your item list, take payment, and hand over a receipt.
  • A stockroom. Every sale writes back to your inventory, so your stock count is right without a stocktake.
  • A back office. A web dashboard that shows today's takings, your best sellers, low stock, and every transaction.

What you need

  • An Android phone (Android 8.0 or newer) for the till.
  • Any web browser for the owner dashboard.
  • A phone number and an email address to open the account.

You do not need a Zimbabwean bank account, a merchant ID from a bank, or dedicated card hardware to get started.

How the pieces fit together

PieceWho uses itWhat it is for
Swipee appWhoever is serving customersTaking sales, printing receipts, scanning barcodes
Owner dashboardThe owner or managerReports, inventory, customers, stores, settings
Stores and devicesThe ownerKeeping each shop's takings and stock separate

Your app and your dashboard share one account. A sale rung up on the till appears in the dashboard, and an item added in the dashboard appears on the till.

Currencies

Swipee works in USD and ZiG, and keeps them apart. Prices, takings, and reports are always shown in the currency the sale was made in — Swipee never quietly converts one into the other for you.
