Set up your first store
A store is one physical trading place. Setting one up keeps takings, stock, and staff separated per location.

A store in Swipee is one place where you trade — a shop, a stall, a kiosk, or a delivery van. Every sale, every stock count, and every till device belongs to a store.
If you trade in one place, you still want one store. If you trade in five, create five and you get five sets of numbers you can compare.
Create a store
- 1In the owner dashboard, open Stores.
- 2Choose Add store.
- 3Give it a name your team will recognise — "Mbare Stall", not "Store 2".
- 4Add the address or area so it is easy to identify later.
- 5Save.
What a store controls
- Takings. Sales are reported per store, so you can see which location earns.
- Stock. Items and stock levels are tracked per store, so a shortage at one shop does not hide a surplus at another.
- Devices. Each till device is bound to one store when it signs in.
Rename or update a store
Open Stores, choose the store, edit the details, and save. Renaming a store does not affect past sales — history stays attached to the store record, not the name.
Multiple stores
There is no limit on stores. A practical way to grow:
- 1Start with one store and get your item library right.
- 2Add the second store when you open it, then generate a till login code for its device.
- 3Use the dashboard's store filter to compare performance.
