Your Swipee balance
What the dashboard balance means during the record-only pilot and why it normally stays at zero.
Updated 13 September 2026
Your Swipee balance is designed to hold money from payments Swipee processes for you. The owner dashboard shows it as Available Balance.
No live payment rail is connected during the current pilot. Cash goes straight into your drawer, card money goes through your own bank terminal, and mobile money goes to your own wallet. Those recorded sales do not enter the Swipee balance, so seeing zero while sales appear in reports is expected.
The three numbers
| Number | What it means |
|---|---|
| Balance | Everything in your account |
| Available | What you can cash out right now |
| Locked | Money reserved against a cash-out already in progress |
Available plus locked always equals your balance.
Reserved money
The data model also has a reserved amount for a cash-out in progress. Agent cash-out is not live, so merchants should not normally have reserved funds during the pilot. If the dashboard shows a non-zero reserved amount unexpectedly, contact support.
What does and does not reach your balance
| Sale type | Reaches your balance? |
|---|---|
| Cash | No — you were handed the money directly |
| Mobile money recorded in Swipee | No — the money went to your own wallet |
| A payment Swipee processed on a live rail | Yes, net of the fee |
Balance history
Wallet history is retained for processed-payment credits, fees, and cash-outs, but its merchant-facing cash-out screen is hidden during the pilot. Your normal recorded sales remain available under Transactions and in reports.
